Itinerary and Practical Exercises
Day One
Swanage - Back to basics - Take 50 pictures within 1 hour using a basic compact. Rely on intuition and first impressions, just click and move on. Corfe Castle produce a cover shot for “Dorset” magazine.
Evening - Discussion of remaining practical exercises and use of computer during the course.
Day Two
Morning - Salisbury Cathedral Each time you take a photograph, immediately take three more moving in closer on each shot. Your aim is to provide a shot that could be used in a calendar of Salisbury Cathedral . This picture should be abstract. Exercise 2 - Using the examples shown in the composition notes take 3 pictures to highlight the guiding precepts.
Afternoon - Stonehenge Take a minimum of 15 shots. Vary camera angle, the lens, distance from the subject and focus. Three shots are needed to fit into the English Heritage brochure of Stonehenge. Shaftesbury - produce a cover shot for “Dorset” magazine.
Evening - Critique on day two
Day Three
Morning - Photoshop - How to get the most out of your system. Tricks of the trade.
Afternoon - Compton Acres During the afternoon we will visit these gardens in Poole and produce a set of 3 images for printing.
The Courses Include
n 2 nights half board accommodation with en suite facilities at the Cromwell House Hotel, Lulworth Cove.

n Transportation to / from each location.
n Transportation from / to the local railway / bus station if required at the beginning and end of the course.
n Use of a computer for digital imaging and image manipulation based on Adobe “photoshop” the industry standard.
n Assessment of your work as the course progresses.

We are pleased to announce the dates for the follow up course
which takes you to the next level in the development of your landscape photography.
The course will run from a Monday at 1.00pm to Wednesday at 4.00pm and will be based at the Cromwell House Hotel - Places are limited to an absolute maximum of 6.
We will concentrate on photographic design and expand the use of composition and colour. I have included new locations and all the exercises undertaken are new, the itinerary is below.
